Clean 3 to 5 feet left and right handers at Watu Karung the board crusher. Conditions were clean from light to moderate offshore. Massively crowded with between 15 to 25 guys in the water at any time on both wave, mainly high level bodyboarders... Very few empty waves. Such high concentration of people resulted in a bit of a carnage with broken boards, limbs and leashes. Even had a poor guy ambulanced back home after a gnarly wipeout on the left. Hope he recovers fully.
October was well provided with swells but conditions were not as clean as they could be. It seems like the quiet days when Watu Karung is firing are over but less intense days and tides offer a bit of room for the more regular surfers. Still definitely not a beginner spot, other breaks suitable for them in the area.
